João Matias

Biography

João holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Certificate of Transnational Law, and a Master’s degree in Economic Law from the University of Geneva, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions (Geneva School of Lawyers – ECAV).

During his studies, João gained valuable experience working for a private bank in Geneva, spending a year and a half in the compliance department and seven months as a legal adviser focusing on U.S. regulations. He also dedicated himself to various associations, including the “European Law Student Association”, where he served as President for the local group in Geneva for two years.

Passionate about innovation, João has a keen interest in new technologies and AI development, which he aspires to integrate into his legal practice.

A native speaker of Portuguese and French, João is also fluent in English and Spanish and has some basic knowledge of German.
